New Ipoint Hotel

The room itself was good, but why is there no bathroom door in a room meant for three people sharing? 😭

The soundproofing is poor, and the condition of the place needs urgent attention. It feels old and worn. There was dust behind the bed, dirty curtains, mold in the shower corners, and even a used laundry-menu paper left behind. I wouldn’t call this a four-star hotel, at most three.

The service was good, and when we found that the AC was leaking through the ceiling in our first room, the hotel gave us another one. 👍 But the second room had problems too. The shower floor felt like it might give way, and the water wouldn’t drain. The rooms look clean at first, but on closer inspection they weren’t well cleaned. We saw a suspicious white liquid on the walls.

We were put in an older, smaller room after the AC fan in our upgraded room kept making loud noises through the night, switching on and off. There was no control in the room to turn it off. At least we should be able to sleep tonight, although the WiFi in this room is terrible. We had recorded the noise and told reception in the morning. They asked when we’d be back so the issue could be fixed, and said it would be fine when we returned. But when we checked, the receptionist said everything had been fixed, and the fan was making exactly the same noise as before. We had to go back to reception and move rooms ourselves after a bad night’s sleep. The hotel management doesn’t seem to acknowledge or solve the AC problem, and offered no compensation or favor. That doesn’t feel fair or right. I wish they hadn’t upgraded us so we could have slept a bit better.
