Hotel Corona

The food was good.

Awesome.

I was pleasantly surprised by the lively atmosphere and how courteous and professional everyone was. The owners are so generous, I hope they do really well. The staff made us feel looked after and involved. I’ll plan future conferences and work trips here, and the restaurant’s food is genuinely authentic.

BEWARE. One star feels generous. At checkout they ran my card twice, claiming the first payment hadn’t gone through. I’d seen “Transaction Executed,” but I let them insist. Looking back, they should have given me a receipt saying it had failed. The man said he couldn’t because he didn’t know the POS well 😭. He promised to check and send a bank transfer if it turned out I’d been charged twice, since I live 35 kilometers away. I called the next day because my app showed both payments. A man told me his brother was in Foggia and would ring me at 9:00 AM the following morning. Nobody called. When I tried again, a woman said the extra transaction wasn’t on her POS. I’d already called the bank’s toll-free number, where they confirmed both charges, but she said she didn’t trust either the bank app or the phone confirmation. She told me to come back Monday and check at the bank. I was off, so I got a bank statement and went to the hotel. The woman was still aggressive and kept saying her POS doesn’t lie 🤣🤣. I asked to speak with the man, but she said he was an employee, even though he’d told me he was the owner 🥴. He handed the money back, muttering that she wouldn’t lose face over 75 euros. Sorry, but she did lose face. We’re not scammers, and we don’t come from the slums. Thanks for the wasted time and gas to get my money back from you twice. At least you’re located in a place of worship, I suppose. I’ll leave it there. We’re never coming back. Goodbye.
