The meal is what made Agriturismo Agrifoglio stand out for us. Dinner came with the stay, and from the antipasti of eggplant, cheeses, salamis and olives to the bread and pane carasau, there was plenty on the table. White and red wine kept coming in carafes. We had tomato and sausage pasta, then su porceddu, roasted over myrtle branches. The chef showed us the whole piglet before carving it; its skin was crisp and golden, and the meat was tender and full of flavor. I even got a photo in the kitchen. Seadas with cheese and honey followed, then Mirto. The farmhouse sits in peaceful countryside, and our room was comfortable and had what we needed for the night. The family welcomed us right away. Breakfast was simple and satisfying, too. Having dinner, wine and breakfast included made for great value, and the stay was one of the most memorable parts of our Sardinian trip.

The vegan meals were the letdown: they had less to them than the regular menu and weren't cooked as well, even though they cost the same. Service was decent, though nothing special. The traditional Sardinian fixed menu costs €40 per person and covers a lot, from the aperitif and several antipasti to a couple of pasta first courses, a couple of meat courses, fruit, dessert, coffee and liqueurs.
