Bagni di Pisa Palace & Thermal Spa

We came to Bagni di Pisa as a couple and left feeling completely recharged. The peaceful, elegant atmosphere stays with you, but it’s the people who make the place special. They were truly kind, attentive, and sincere. It’s rare to find somewhere that feels both luxurious and personal.

I had a great time at the day spa, even though I wasn’t staying at the hotel. The restaurant was incredible, and the staff were helpful and friendly. Still, as other reviews have said, the spa needs more investment, especially in the robes and some of its fixtures. The robes were rough and overused. Around the pools, some areas needed attention: many lamps were out, there were bandaids along the pool edges, and some overhead fixtures needed covering, cleaning, or fixing.

Thankfully, we’re only here for 2 nights. This hotel claims 5-star status, but I’d give it 3 stars at best, and that’s generous. The decor and facilities are outdated and feel stuck in the 70s. The room’s furniture and decor are simply unacceptable, as the photos show. I wouldn’t recommend this Thermal Spa to anyone looking to restore their well-being. Last October, we spent 10 days at Grotta Giusti Therme, which truly deserves its 5-star rating.

The spa treatments were very nice, the massages fantastic, and dinner plentiful. Service was impeccable. The room felt a little old-fashioned, but was welcoming overall.
