It was a stunning, quiet place for a one-night stay near the airport, and it did the job for us. The beds were comfortable, though the shower was rather small. There’s no phone reception and the WiFi is slow. Breakfast leaned towards sweet things, with cereal, yogurt and pastries, plus ham, cheese and bread. There was no toaster, and drinks included tea, coffee and juice. I didn’t expect to find a stable in the middle of the hotel. The hotel could use some upgrades, perhaps an elevator. Still, it was good for what we needed.

Set in a historic building, this was such a lovely place to stay. The rooms are excellent for a very reasonable price, and the staff are lovely. After an early morning run in the park, the massive breakfast was exactly what we needed. Comfortable and clean too.

This place has a lot of potential, but there are some real problems in its current state. The rooms are very worn, and the water pressure is weak. Hot water takes a few minutes to arrive, the room was cold for the children, and the heating didn’t work. Breakfast seemed basic. On the day I stayed, a group of guests also made a mess using the coffee and juice machines to fill thermoses for their trip. That was really inappropriate, though it wasn’t the staff’s fault. They tried as much as they could to improve the impression, and I appreciate their efforts. All in all, it fell a little short of expectations, though I’m not totally disappointed. With a stylish renovation, this could be a top location.

The breakfast needs improvement. It wasn’t special, and there weren’t more than 10 items, with much of it being the same kind of thing.

It’s nicely set in a park, and the staff are friendly. The rooms are very basic, and breakfast is basic too.
