La Fortezza

This was a shameful experience. I went in May to speak with the owner, Antonello, who showed me the house. I asked for a large place for 5-8 people, and he confirmed it would suit that number. We agreed on €2,500 for August 15th to 30th, as written in the contract. He never put a five-person limit in writing and told me the price covered the apartment because the house was large. When we arrived on the 15th with eight people, he started asking for living expenses and consumption costs for the three extra guests, none of which were in the contract. We eventually agreed to pay an extra €400. A couple of days later, cockroaches came out of the upstairs bathroom. A child was frightened and asked his sister to leave, and after a few days the three additional people did leave. I told Antonello what had happened, but he brushed me off, saying there was nothing he could do about cockroaches. I asked for some money back. I had paid €2,700, including €2,500 in the contract and €200 without a receipt. The contract was made to show that I had received only €2,300, not €2,500. We settled on €100, but a few days later Mr. Antonello called in a threatening tone demanding another €200. I reminded him we had agreed on €100, and he got angry, saying the contract didn't say he was due another €400. He then said he wouldn't take any more money, but on the last day threatened to collect the balance. Luckily, we paid him nothing more. He should be called a scammer.

I had a lovely time here. The place is so pretty and well kept, and the big terrace is great for dinner. The staff were very kind. I'd recommend it to everyone. 🥰💞

A lovely, very clean place. The manager, his wife, and all the staff are such good people. I felt very comfortable here.

The restaurant was fantastic, with very fresh fish and a different menu each evening: tuna, swordfish, snapper, cuttlefish, red prawns, and fried fish. We had a wonderful four days. Our room was lovely and spotless, with a kitchenette, air conditioning, and radiators. The owners were friendly and helpful, the sea was amazing, and we'll definitely return in September.
