Pensione Mizia

The big leafy trees in the park make it a peaceful spot to unwind and escape the summer heat. Inside, the shared spaces and rooms are clean, comfortable, and carefully detailed, with a classic mountain style. Pensione Mizia also stands out for how it accommodates individual needs and pets. I keep coming back for the quiet and excellent cooking, and the welcoming, flexible, lively management only adds to the hotel's warm, relaxing feel. Each year brings a chance to rest, enjoy enriching cultural experiences, and recharge in the surrounding nature.

I spent five days at Pension Mizia, right near the center of Maresca, and found the rooms lovely and clean. Breakfast was generous, with homemade desserts, and dinner was very good too. The food was genuinely excellent and there was plenty of it.

It feels steeped in history, and serves as a place where people can meet and talk. This guesthouse is still standing despite so many local businesses and services having closed.

We had full board, with a varied breakfast of sweet and savory options, hearty meals, and delicious cooking. The staff were welcoming, and our room was spacious and clean. In central Maresca, it's a good base for walks, or for relaxing in the large park under the shade. There's a swimming pool farther up, and you can head out from there to visit San Marcello and nearby villages. A good choice if you're after relaxation.
