The owners were so friendly, and we’d happily stay again. B&B Mambrotta is about half an hour from Verona, which made it easy to get away from the big tourist crowds. There’s a traditional trattoria within walking distance. Our room had been renovated and was simple but roomy, and the pool was lovely. Breakfast had what we needed and a bit extra, especially the excellent cappuccino.

We picked this place for a quiet three-night break near busy Verona. It’s surrounded by green fields, and there’s a village restaurant about a 20-minute walk away where we ate very well. Verona is around 15 minutes by car, with a shopping center only 5-10 minutes away. The rooms are large and clean, with air conditioning, a little fridge and mosquito nets, which you’ll appreciate because there are lots of mosquitoes. Breakfast was included, with the usual Italian choices: tea or coffee, juice, yogurt, pastries, pies and fruit. The owner can also make fried or scrambled eggs if you ask. There’s a small pool in the private garden, nice for a few people, though it gets cramped if everyone wants to swim at once. A good spot for a short, peaceful stop 👍🏻

We slept comfortably, and the people were friendly. It’s also close to Verona. A nice place to stay.

Best restaurant in Verona for asparagus.

The staff were annoying, and there were way too many flies.
