Albergo Vezzana

We had a lovely two-night stay. The food was great, with vegetarian choices, and the staff were so kind.

That sunrise view from our room was gorgeous. It was a modern space, thoughtfully furnished with wood, and had a lovely, spacious bathroom. Before heading out for several days of mountain trekking, we spent the evening at Albergo Vezzana, and it made for a wonderful start. We arrived late, but the staff still waited so they could serve us dinner. The mushroom pasta, ricotta cake, and strudel were spectacular, and breakfast was delicious with plenty to choose from, a rare treat during our weeks traveling in Italia. We had a great time talking with the staff, who also gave us useful suggestions for other parts of the country. I hope we get to return for another adventure.

The restaurant was the highlight, absolutely fantastic, especially ordering à la carte rather than taking half board. Vino della Casa was fabulous too. Breakfast was a bit basic but good. The refurbished rooms make clever use of the space, with lots of wood, and felt warm and cozy. We also loved the unreal view from the window. We stumbled on the hotel without a booking after escaping the icy fog at Passo Pordoi, and ended up having an amazing stay. The location is lovely, and the staff are dedicated. The man taking care of both the dinner and breakfast buffet was especially passionate about his work. We can't figure out why the ratings aren't better. Passo Rolle is now one of our favorite places in Dolomites.

A comfortable, scenic place with a style that's both modern and rustic. We watched the sunset over the Venezza.
