Rodi Resort

The staff made our stay feel special. From the owner to the cleaning ladies, everyone was friendly and helpful, and the general manager did what he could whenever we needed something. Drinks at the bar came with a smile and a nice chat. We stayed nearly three weeks in June and had a wonderful time. We ate at the hotel quite often because the food was another highlight. The chef was very capable, and we loved the pasta, seafood, and smaller snacks. Our requests were always met. Our standard double room had been renovated and was clean and comfortable, though the bathroom felt a little dated. That didn’t bother us since it was still nice and matched the photos and description. For a family with kids, the room felt a bit small, so next time we’d choose a larger category. The hotel sits on a hill by the national park, with a view of the sea. It’s not right by the beach or town, but that’s clear from the online description, so those complaints in other reviews don’t seem fair to me. There’s a free shuttle every hour to a nice beach club, about a five-minute drive away, with sunbeds included. You can also walk down the hill to a small public beach. The property has been refurbished over the past few years, and some areas are still being updated bit by bit. There’s no major construction now, though, and it was quiet and peaceful. The finishings really stood out, especially the marble floors and lovely pool area. A small playground or toy corner would be a nice addition to an already very kid-friendly place. If we return to Puglia, we’d definitely stay at the Rodi Resort again. It’s the nicest place in the area. Thanks for everything!

The pool was fantastic, big and spotless, with an amazing view. The person working there was very polite and friendly. Everyone at the Hotel was so nice, and the place itself is beautiful. Our room was cozy and very clean. Thank you so much!

The hotel feels like it’s still a work in progress. The WiFi was unreliable, the room safe was broken and took two visits from management to sort out, and there wasn’t a manager on site every day. The front desk staff did their best, but sometimes you need a manager around. It was also hard to get coffee before breakfast opened at 8, even though there was a machine in the breakfast area that could have been made available. We chose Rodi on the Gargano instead of Vieste because we wanted a sea view and terrace. We booked three nights, but on arrival they gave us a view of the driveway, despite our direct dealings with the hotel and advance confirmation. They moved us for the second and third nights, but the first night was a disappointment. Next time, we’d stay in Vieste.

I was the last guest of the season, and the host was amazing.
