Al Vecchio Fienile

We came for some quiet and relaxation, and that’s exactly what this lovely farmhouse offered. The grounds and pool are stunning, while everything indoors was spotless and in perfect order. Mrs. Sonia welcomed us so warmly and made us feel at home straight away. Breakfast was generous and delicious. I’d definitely recommend it. 🤩

The breakfast was a real highlight, fresh, generous, lovingly prepared, and served with such care. We also slept wonderfully, thanks to a super-comfortable bed and pillows, and the bedroom and bathroom were excellent. The interiors are charming, tastefully furnished, and immaculately clean. From the moment we arrived, the hosts’ warm welcome and extraordinary kindness gave the place a special feel. We wholeheartedly recommend it!

The hosts made my two days of exploring the area much easier. Mrs. Sonia is refined, kind, and helpful, and her advice for planning excursions was excellent. Breakfast deserves a special mention too, with lots of variety and top-quality products. The location worked well for visiting Venice and Trieste, which are about equally distant, as well as many lovely towns nearby. I’ve stayed in plenty of B&Bs, but very few have impressed me like this one. The building is furnished elegantly without losing its countryside feel, and the setting is exceptionally beautiful. There’s a beautifully maintained park with centuries-old trees, quiet all around, and wonderful scents. The swimming pool fits in perfectly, though I haven’t tried it yet because of the weather. Rooms are warm, welcoming, and practical. I’m very particular about cleanliness, and I couldn’t find a single thing to complain about. I’m sure anyone who gets the chance to stay here will understand what I mean.

We loved the saltwater pool, set beside a lovely, carefully kept lawn that seems to go on forever. The owner was so friendly and welcoming, took wonderful care of everything, and shared useful information with us. Breakfast in the garden featured authentic products she had made herself. Our room was thoughtfully arranged, comfortable, and spotless, and Portogruaro’s town center, just a 10-minute drive away, is a little gem with lovely views. My husband and I found this B&B while looking online for a stop near Portogruaro during our motorcycle trip to Croatia. We booked a couple of days, and couldn’t have chosen better.
