We stopped for one night while travelling from Austria to Stresa and found a little gem. The family running it were lovely, and the rooms were very clean and updated. Breakfast had lots of options and was more than satisfying. We got there around 4pm, sat outside, and enjoyed a few glasses of local wine before going to dinner. I’d recommend this hotel in a heartbeat.

We had a great meal across the street because the hotel restaurant was closed when we arrived. The continental breakfast was nice, and the family-run hotel was lovely. Our room was clean and comfortable. There’s no lift, so we had to carry our suitcases upstairs.

The staff were very friendly and eager to help, which I appreciated. But I have disabilities and use crutches, and had to make my way slowly up the stairs because there’s no lift. My friend also has trouble with stairs. If we’d known, we probably wouldn’t have booked. I feel strongly about disabled access, so I’m sorry this review has to be negative.

The food came out quickly, and it was all delicious and homemade. We really enjoyed the steak and the soup of the day, along with the plate of the day, which had different meats, pasta, potatoes, and vegetables. The table wine was easy to drink too. It’s a family-run hotel and restaurant with outdoor seating, and it seems popular with bikers. Amazing!

We stumbled on this place by accident on our way north and were so grateful for the unexpected local experience. It was the only place serving food between 3 and 5pm. The owners were kind and generous, and the prices were surprisingly low for such tasty food and drinks. My friend and I had a panino, pasta al ragú, a cappuccino, and a beer for just €15. I’d recommend it to anyone.
