A pleasant, refreshing stay overall. The rooms have a medieval feel, though they could use an update with a more contemporary touch, especially the bathroom.

Breakfast could have run more smoothly. One person was trying to make coffee for everyone, some items ran out, and the juice was very diluted. The building’s a fantastic historic place, though, with wonderful views from our room and a great position on the Via Francigena. The bed linen was good quality, but the hotel felt dated and the bathroom was shabby. There’s real potential here.

The hotel’s older, but the prices are fair and everything was spotless. Breakfast was generous and the staff were fantastic. It’s very bike friendly, with somewhere to store your bikes, and restaurants, bars and shops are just steps away. Grazie!

The hotel could be a jewel in San Miniato, but it needs work. The view is stunning, and that’s the main thing going for it. Rooms and amenities feel very outdated, breakfast was below standard, and my experience with reception wasn’t satisfactory. If you’re mainly after the view, go for it. There are plenty of nicer options around otherwise.

We had a lovely, spacious room overlooking the area. It was ideal for a quick overnight stop before driving to Pisa Airport, though next time I’d stay longer since there’s lots to explore. Renovation work was happening, but it wasn’t too disruptive. Parking is convenient once you find the right access road. SatNav couldn’t manage it!
