The pool was a highlight, huge enough for swimming and volleyball, with a net available, plus a little attached pool where the toddler could paddle or the rest of us could wade. Its slight distance from the house gave the kids a safer space and let us make noise or party without disturbing anyone napping inside. Twelve adults and a two-year-old spent a week here, and the villa was perfect for a week or longer. It stayed cool despite the extreme heat, with air conditioning in every room and shared area. We cooked every day in the large kitchen, which has a full oven and hobs, and there are two barbecues as well. Nearby towns are easy to reach on foot or by car, so there are lots of restaurant options, listed in the welcome pack. The photos make the house look dated, but it isn't. It feels historic and country-style, and the cool tiles and shutters help keep the heat out. It's spotlessly clean, and David and his family should be proud of this magnificent place. Thank you to David and his dad for a wonderful stay. We hope to be back one day.
