Breakfast was enjoyable, and the owner's wife was cheerful while cooking and looking after everyone. The view across the fields to the Longerin peaks, with the Scottish Highland cows, was sublime. But we had booked a double room with one double bed and were given a tiny room under the attic with two separate beds. When we complained, the owner said he would push them together. In the evening, the kitchen downstairs smelled horrible, and the restaurant noise carried on until 11 pm, making it feel as if we were still sitting in the restaurant. It seemed like the owner didn't care about guests. Other reviews describe the same bad experience. To avoid the hassle, you may want to request rooms 5, 6, or 7, which are about 50 metres from the main building in a separate spot.

We’ll be thinking about the burrata for a long time. It was the best I’ve ever tasted. The meal was a real treat in the mountains, with carefully chosen ingredients and plenty of homemade specialties. Friendly service and those breathtaking views made the experience even better.

That mountain view made both restaurant visits feel extra special. We tried the Bistecca, Lasagna, and a beef dish with polenta, all tasty and cooked well. The Tiramisu was the standout for us: light, creamy, and just sweet enough. We had a great time both times, and would recommend stopping in if you’re nearby.

We only had one night here, and I wish we’d stayed longer. The food was really nice, the room was clean, and the staff were kind. It’s a good fit if you’re after homemade food made with quality ingredients and a friendly atmosphere rather than anything fancy. Just be comfortable driving uphill on a narrow road. It’s a shame to see negative reviews over small issues or personal dislikes. Some people focus on the bad, but I chose to see the good.
