B&B Le Limentre

I had to get going early, so the owners put together a special breakfast for me. The place is on a busy road in the daytime, though it settles down at night, and there’s a great bar and grocery store right next door. My little apartment had furnishings from different historical periods, but it was still comfortable and practical. I stopped for a night on Via Francesca della Sambuca, and dinner with the two friendly owners in the small garden across the way was delicious, with a lovely atmosphere. That dinner alone made the visit worthwhile. Excellent value.

I loved staying here. The B&B has an old country-house feel, with antique furniture, creaky floors, and memories displayed on the walls. It brought to mind a simpler, more authentic time. The married couple who run it were warm and courteous. It’s in Sambuca Pistoiese, an area that gets few tourists compared with how much it deserves.

The hosts were welcoming and helpful, and breakfast felt just like home, with plenty of authentic food. I stayed from Friday, August 16th to Sunday, August 18th, 2019, and had two enchanting days. The room was huge, spotless, and furnished with the owners’ original pieces; the double mattress was incredibly comfortable too. There are two bathrooms, almost like having private ones, and after a tiring day I enjoyed a relaxing soak in the tub. For cleanliness and comfort, I’d give it 10 out of 10. This is an enchanting corner of paradise just a few kilometers from home, and I can’t wait to come back with my family so they can discover it. We’ll definitely choose this property again. It’s a 19th-century house that’s been deliberately kept as it was, without an en-suite bathroom or modern touches that would feel out of place. The husband and wife running this B&B are very friendly. The setting feels timeless and well away from mass tourism, like a pleasant step back into the past.
