The setting is a dream for a family holiday. From the house, the view stretches over the lawn to the pool and the vineyards beyond. The owners clearly love gardening, and we enjoyed the roses, flowers, and heady jasmine. There’s also a lovely patio with comfortable seating under the trees, where a welcome breeze seemed to come through during our mid-June stay. Our three-generation family of 10, ranging from 1 to 75, had plenty of room. Upstairs, the five bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms were spacious, comfortable, and quiet. Downstairs, we made use of the large living and dining rooms and a kitchen stocked with everything needed for meals at home. We cooked happy, delicious dinners with great local produce, meat, and seafood beneath the wisteria-covered pergola outside the kitchen. The bedrooms have air conditioning and screens, and we loved leaving the windows open at night to wake to birds singing at dawn. We took day trips around the area, and our hostess Alice arranged a winery tour for us. Nearby, we found grocery stores, bakeries, and lovely small local shops selling cheese, meat, and homemade pasta. We all agree, we couldn’t recommend this property more.

Alice was a fantastic host at Villa Le Querce Dei Medici, so helpful and knowledgeable, and she went out of her way to make sure we had a perfect stay. The villa was beautiful, clean, and equipped with everything we needed. It was great for children too. We especially loved the pool, pool house, outdoor dining area, and BBQ. We had a wonderful time and hope to stay again.

We spent most of our time by the pool, enjoying the wonderful views and the handy pool house, which meant we didn’t have to head back to the main house for refreshments. The setting is beautiful, and the living areas are spacious and cool, though we were rarely indoors. All the rooms were extremely comfortable. Francesca and her team were so helpful, recommending restaurants and places to visit and arranging babysitters when we needed them. Nothing was too much trouble. We’ve just come back from a fantastic couple of weeks at Villa Le Querce and hope to return soon.

The garden and pool area were incredible, especially the stunning view. It’s a great place to recharge and let your mind wander. We spent 10 wonderful days here with up to six people, enjoying the authentic setting and the spacious house. Thanks to Alice for all her help and advice during the stay. We’ll certainly come back to Villa Le Querce Dei Medici.

The roses and peonies were in bloom while we were there, and walking past them each day was such a treat. The whole property is stunning, even more beautiful than the photos. Our rooms were comfortable, very clean, and had everything we needed. Our family thoroughly enjoyed the stay and would love to return if we find ourselves in Italy again.
