We tried the ravioli, and they were really good Italian pasta. It was a great experience in the heart of the Natisone Valleys, where local ingredients come together in a new kind of cooking.

The room was spacious, and the air conditioning was a welcome extra. We could hear some noise from the animals, though. At dinner, our carpaccio was fresh trout with a light smoky note, a delicate marinade, and herbs from the farm. The balance was just right, and the chef knew not to overpower such fresh fish. The owner, chef, and staff are clearly committed to local food, and everything is local. I’d recommend having at least one lunch or dinner if you stay. Highly recommend.

I can’t remember eating anywhere that made me this enthusiastic. I don’t know what the rooms are like, but if the restaurant is any indication, I’m not worried about what I’ll find.

The area is beautiful, and the animals are fantastic. The staff were super friendly too. Add good breakfasts and very nice rooms, and what else do you need? ;)

The menu is one of a kind, with ingredients from the woods and the garden. That made this place a really nice experience.
