Agriturismo Maliandi

Gabriel and Irina made us feel so welcome, and they handle both the cooking and serving themselves. The photos really don't capture the place. From our room, the valley view was so extraordinary that my wife started crying. It definitely belongs on someone's bucket list.

The estate was lovely, and the lodging was spacious and clean. The woman there was friendly too. Breakfast leaned too heavily on sweet things and could have had more variety. Outdoor music drowned out the birdsong, which wasn't needed. Checkout was far too early, and for this area the place felt a bit expensive.

The food was great throughout our stay. After we asked for cheese at breakfast on the first morning, it was available each day alongside the extensive buffet of homemade yoghurt, cakes, fresh fruit and marmalades. Dinner was lovely and accommodated our dietary restrictions. Try the local wine Tempere. Maliandi Resort is a beautiful, well-kept domain, and Gabriele and Iryna were friendly and helpful. It was quiet and a lovely spot to unwind, with gorgeous views from our balcony's private terrace and the terrace by the pool. We watched the sunset at the back of the domain and looked out across the olive groves and valley. The pool was a little chilly, just right in the hot weather. The walls between rooms are thin. One night we could hear every word of an Italian couple arguing next door. Still, with no young children at the resort, it felt reliably peaceful. We had a great time!

The Easter lunch was mind blowing, and breakfast and dinner were outstanding too. The wine was awesome, and the staff were great. It's a really nice family-owned place up in the mountains. We'll be back : )
