The huge therapeutic pool is a real highlight, with mineral-rich water that, I think, takes 20 years to rise from deep underground. After our first day here we feel better, and by day four we're properly relaxed. We've come six times over the years, and it's a lovely stay, even though it isn't cheap. The rooms are really nice, and some open straight onto the pool. They provide robes you can wear to breakfast or lunch. At dinner, you keep the same table each night, and unfinished wine is waiting for you the next evening. Good wine is reasonably priced, and the waiters know how to make your wife feel beautiful without making you jealous. I think the managers are German or Swiss, while the staff are Italian, which gives it that special Italian touch. We usually stay right here instead of driving around, though renting a car is a good idea, since the drive and scenery are wonderful.

There’s enough to keep you busy for days, from walking and biking trails to wine tours, pools, spa facilities, saunas and sound baths. There are also little towns and villages close by. Staff are friendly and accommodating, though the buffet can get busy and a few flies were pestering us around the pool and gardens. We had a great time, but give yourself at least four days to fit everything in. Recommended.

The food was the “worst” part, since we came home 2-3 kilos heavier after being put through a “culinary torture” of the best food and service I've ever had. The whole team made us feel at home. People, location, hotel, facilities and activities were all more than perfect. Best resort I've ever stayed in, an amazing place.

Tuscany was a fantastic trip, but this spa visit was a letdown and didn't feel worth making. The setting is beautiful, yet the experience felt average for the high price. We noticed damage in the outdoor pool, and staff told us the changing rooms and showers only had one all-in-one soap. We'd also booked a facial, but had trouble getting into the room.
