The spa and sauna sounded appealing, but we didn’t think the cost was good value. On the other hand, being able to reach the reception team on WhatsApp was really helpful, and Gian Luca deserves a special mention for the professionalism and attentiveness you’d expect at a high end place. We stayed for three nights in May, and the room was beautiful. Please fix the sliding bathroom door. It was spotlessly clean, as were all the other areas. Breakfast struck a nice balance, with plenty of choice while still feeling authentic, fresh, and local. One morning we arrived late, and the staff offered to make more items if anything had run out. The food at breakfast and dinner was exceptionally good. I believe the chef has a Michelin star. It’s an idyllic place in Tuscany, and the high standards were very welcome, especially for someone who travels and expects a lot. Thanks to the team, this feels like our new home in Tuscany.

The restaurant served delicious dishes, beautifully presented and full of flavor. Thanks to the Kitchen Crew! We’ll definitely be back at Il miraggio, a wonderful paradise in the middle of the stunning Val d‘Orcia. The charming crew made the holiday unforgettable. Aida, Daniele, Fabio, GianLucca, Hanna, Lorenzo, Mauro, Mirko, the two lovely ladies in the Restaurant and at the Reception, and the Room cleaning Team all made us feel so welcome. They’re the heart of the hotel. We enjoyed every minute here!

The room was fantastic, with lots of space and a comfortable bed, and being so close to town was a plus. The employees were attentive, though the front desk felt a little pushy about getting us to book the restaurant and spa. We ate at the restaurant, and it was okay but definitely overpriced. The hotel is good, but it wasn’t as fantastic or relaxing as advertised. It’s close to the highway, so there’s noise and you can see the road from the room. The advertised panoramic view from the swimming pool isn’t there.

The Seared Tuna appetizer my husband ordered was so good that he’s still talking about it now we’re home. Our main courses were delicious too, and the waiter was the best, so friendly and helpful with his red wine suggestion. I wish I’d written down his name. To whoever served two Americans on the night of September 29th, thank you! We weren’t staying at the hotel, but found it on our last evening in San Quirico and had dinner there. It was AMAZING, the best meal we had in the area. We want to come back next year and stay at the hotel and spa.
