B&B San Rocco

The rooms are quite spacious and the location is excellent, but you can hear every sound from the neighbors because the soundproofing is terrible. At 6:30 in the morning, a flute player woke us up by playing the same tune again and again. One odd thing: hot water came out of every faucet, even the bathroom drain and the fountain outside.

The room itself was nice, but the windows had no curtains, so there was no way to darken it. The private bathroom had no bidet and did have a shower and toilet suitable for disabled guests, though the rest of the room wasn’t suitable for that purpose. The B&B is in the historic center, just steps from the main square of this beautiful village. The property is well kept, with lovely exposed stone walls.

We booked at the last minute for three people, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The top floor had a bunk bed and stairs up to another room with two single beds, a large TV, and air conditioning. The bathroom had no bidet because a sauna had been installed there before. We slept well, and the rooms were clean and arranged as you’d expect for the kind of place and price. Breakfast the next morning had sweet and savory choices, and we ate at the table outside. The charming historic center was right by us, just steps from the city center. A great experience!

The room needs more attention to detail. There were linens and other guests’ personal belongings filling the furniture, and the towels were old and not really suitable for a B&B. The small bathroom had problems too, including a shower stall with a missing door and a broken showerhead. The property is in a historic building on an alley near the main square, with a shared area for eating and a coffee machine guests can use. In my opinion, collecting money isn’t enough, you also need to invest.
