B&B della Stazione

The location worked really well for us, close to both the bus and train stations and the centre. San Severo is small enough that my girlfriend and I could comfortably walk across town from the B&B. Staff were friendly, responded quickly to questions and requests, and made an effort to ensure we understood each other. Their English was enough for basic communication. They couldn't arrange the framed picture of Bud Spencer we asked for, but told us beforehand and handled it professionally. We arrived at noon before the room was ready, so they kept our bags while we went to see the centre and get something to eat. On our return, the room was clean and fully prepared, with nothing to complain about. Breakfast was basic and straightforward. Since we prefer a heavier, less sweet start, we bought groceries, and it worked perfectly to keep them in the kitchen or our room. Getting in was easy: a passcode for the front door and a key box for our room key, with the codes sent promptly. One lock was tricky, probably because we weren't used to that type of key. The place isn't fancy, and the shower wasn't an expensive model; the water took a while to heat up or cool down. The shelf over the sink seemed loose, and the toilet had small problems, including a crooked lid and not being fixed to the floor. Those were the closest things to downsides, and they didn't spoil our stay.
