The balcony view was the best part. Its table and chairs were fine, though the lounge chair was half broken. We booked four nights but left the night before our scheduled departure because mosquitoes were biting us, and neither the windows nor the balcony door had insect screens. You can use the pool only with a swimming cap; from the balcony it looked well kept, but in the water all sorts of things were floating around on the bottom. Getting there was a hassle. A car was parked in the loading area despite several signs saying parking was prohibited, and the steep, narrow driveway meant we had to maneuver around to get out. We squeezed into a cramped garage full of stored things, which would hardly work for a larger vehicle. From there, it’s about 60-70 steps up to the apartment. Inside, we found an alpine scorpion and several spiders. The furnishings were disappointing compared with the inviting photos. The sofa bed was very worn, and with a dust mite allergy I couldn’t even sit on it. The kitchenette seemed okay at first, but the crooked cabinets didn’t close properly, the oven didn’t work, and the cookware needs replacing: pans and pots had peeling coatings, knives were dull, and cooking spoons were badly worn. The bathroom window can’t be opened, and the towels were stained. The hairdryer plug didn’t fit the bathroom sockets. The bedroom was sparsely furnished, with no pictures or anything on the walls, just dead mosquitoes and spiders. There were also odd stains around the radiator, as if the wall had once been wet. You can stay here, but I wouldn’t recommend it, and we won’t be back. The price isn’t justified.
