Town was only a ten-minute walk away, with plenty of shops and places to eat, and hiring a car from Olbia airport through Ruvioli made it easy to explore the area. We arrived in late September for our honeymoon and loved every minute. It felt like absolute paradise. I’d highly recommend the place, though I’m a little reluctant since I don’t want it fully booked next year!

Marta at reception was a huge help when we asked for a late checkout. She let us keep the room until we left for the airport that evening, and parking was convenient too. We also liked the modern rooms, which still have a warm Sardinian-Italian feel, and the generous, tasty breakfasts. The pool and beach area looked stunning, though our trips to beaches off-site meant we didn’t spend as much time there as planned. San Teodoro is close by and easy to reach by car or on foot, with restaurants, shops and supermarkets. It felt lively but relaxed, and we felt safe and comfortable during our stay. There’s also a boutique on-site selling St. Barth clothing, accessories and beach essentials, plus a helpful guest services team for arranging tours and activities. My one suggestion would be to have a restaurant or room service beyond the buffet, with food available after 9:30pm. After a long day out, a late à la carte dinner would be great. We had a fantastic stay at Veraclub Amasea and would recommend it.

San Teodoro city centre is an easy ten-minute walk away. The resort was clean and well equipped, and the staff were always friendly and helpful, keeping an eye on the children’s safety. With a big playground, childcare, plenty of activities for kids and a private beach for guests, it’s a great family spot.

The gardens are great, the bungalows have been renovated, and the rooms look good. Cleaning and towel changes happened daily, and the AC worked really well. There are swimming pools, kids’ play areas, volleyball and table tennis too. Staff were friendly and spoke English well, so we had no issues. I’d recommend the hotel overall, with just a few things I’d change. The beach is sandy, but getting into the sea means dealing with lots of stones and rocks. There’s plenty of seagrass on both the beach and in the water, so it didn’t seem ideal for kids. Snorkelling might be great there, though, and Cintia beach is only a 5-10 minute drive away and is a good choice for children. We had the B&B option and stayed four days, which wasn’t long enough for breakfast to get boring, though the selection was mostly the same each day. Eggs were cooked to order, except for the boiled ones, which led to a small queue. It was the end of May and the hotel wasn’t full, so I can only imagine what that’s like in high season. Salt and pepper came only in tiny packets, which felt out of place for a four-star hotel and seemed wasteful when you don’t use a whole packet.

The beach wasn’t great for us, with rough sand, seagrass and hard, pointy rocks. Pool bar prices were higher than in town, and the laundry service was enormously expensive. On the plus side, there’s great parking and lots to do, including tennis, ping pong, a kids’ area, pool dancing, yoga and victorina. Bikes are available to rent, too. The hotel itself is beautiful, with modern, clean rooms and very friendly staff. The receptionists speak English well, and the restaurant serves fresh food with lots of variety.
