Residenze Porto Coda Cavallo

The apartment felt a little old and outdated, and we thought it was odd to have to pay extra for towels and bed linen. Still, our three-night stay was good. The complex was quiet and intimate, and we had a lovely terrace looking out to sea. The staff were friendly and helpful. Cala Brandinchi, the most beautiful beach we visited in Sardinia, was only about a 10-minute walk away, which was incredible.

The staff were especially kind, and the host was attentive, responding quickly and efficiently whenever we needed something. Our place was clean and well equipped, with easy access and close to San Teodoro. It’s a peaceful spot within walking distance of several beaches, Cala Brandinchi among them. We had a very relaxing stay.

The sea is beautiful, and the view of the yachts is incredible. It’s a lovely, well-kept resort with a well-stocked bar and friendly staff. There’s a mini market too, also well stocked, though the prices are a bit high.

The staff were friendly and responsive, and the residence itself looked clean and well cared for. There are amenities in the central square, though everything costs a bit much. A flight of steps takes you straight to Salina Bamba beach. It’s not bad, but there are better beaches nearby. There’s no shower or even a foot bath to rinse away the salt and sand when you return. Our studio needs updating and wasn’t worth the price. There was a bad smell from the drains, and the shower tray filled with sewage, so we had to call a plumber. The cabinets were dated, paint was peeling from the walls, and the two burners were inadequate. The beds were extremely uncomfortable sofa beds below standard. The air conditioning worked, but the remote needed careful handling because its display was hard to read. There was a tiny oven that could probably warm one croissant at a time. We also had to pay the full amount all at once, contrary to what the booking said.
