Parco Monsignore

That pool and the hammocks were such a treat. The place itself was beautiful, breakfast was lovely, and our hosts were excellent. They also gave us lots of useful advice. We had a wonderful stay and only wished we could have stayed longer.

The staff were so nice and chatty. I loved the soft green grass, hammocks, and the pool with its massage feature too. A perfect stay.

The owners were wonderful, and by the end they felt more like friends than hosts. The place has the comforts of home along with excellent facilities, and it's an easy drive into town. There are plenty of things to see, both touristy spots and places to get a feel for the real Italy. We couldn't find anything to dislike. A fabulous holiday home.

The family who run Parco Monsignore made us feel like one of their own from the moment we arrived. They were gentle, kind, attentive, and always ready to help, even while we tried out our few Italian words. Each morning they greeted us with a smile and brought a lovely breakfast of fresh local food. The peaches and figs were delicious, and my favourite little touch was having lemons picked from the trees in front of our verandah for my tea. The pool was wonderful in the heat, and my husband had fun practicing his dives. We also enjoyed chatting with the two sons while they looked after the pool and their “little friend,” the small machine that cleaned the bottom like an automatic lawnmower. We stayed for 10 days in this beautiful place, which feels like much more than a B&B. The private security gates open onto a drive lined with olive and fruit trees, leading to two low buildings with self-contained apartments, en-suite bedrooms, kitchenettes, and dining areas. Each has a covered verandah with tables, and there’s also a summer kitchen with a pizza oven and BBQs. The pool sits among olive, palm, and fruit trees, with neat lawns all around. Everything was spotless and clearly cared for with real pride. It’s peaceful here, about a five-minute drive from San Michele, with historic towns and lovely architecture nearby. We’d happily recommend Parco Monsignore and will definitely come back. A piu Tardi.
