B&B Villa Il Carrubo

Silvia and Filippo were excellent hosts, and the location was great. Still, the room was covered in old dust, and there was a cup of coffee and lipstick on the headboard. We arrived in the evening after coming from... Venice, picking up the car, and then found there was no electricity. We couldn't charge our phone or get hot water. The next day, there was still no electricity or water. Mrs. Silvia said that was normal in the warm months... it felt like going back to prehistoric times. We also weren't told by the booking agency that the bathroom wasn't in the room.

We spent four fabulous days here. The villa sits among lush greenery, with birdsong in the morning, a dramatic mountain rising behind it, and the sea close enough to reach on foot. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and well equipped, and the view was breathtaking. Silvia and Pippo were kind, helpful, and always ready with answers or advice. The place had such a calm, welcoming feel. If every B&B were like this, review sites would hardly be needed. Highly recommended!

The sea is just a five-minute walk away, and San Vito is about ten minutes from here. Pippo and Silvia were so kind and helpful, and we found the rooms clean. Breakfast was generous too.

We stayed from July 5th to 10th, 2021. The bed was comfortable and the sea is nearby, but the property is quite old and could use renovation, especially the bathroom. We were also surprised to find that the house is shared with the owners. Our room was private and had its own bathroom, though the bathroom was outside the room.
