The bathroom could use some work because water drained from the sink very, very slowly. Otherwise, our room was great, with five beds for the four of us, plus a kitchen equipped with a gas stove, microwave, oven, and fridge with refrigerator. Cutlery, cups, and plates were provided. The hotel itself is very nice, with a huge pool suitable for swimming. It's about ten minutes from the fairly big city of San Vito all Capo and five minutes on foot from the nearest beach. A decent hotel.

From my terrace, I love sitting at the table under a fig tree with tea or a cold drink and taking in the wonderful views. The sea and beach are lovely, a kilometre away, downhill on the way there and uphill coming back. 🤪😘 There's plenty of water, but it isn't drinkable, so bring a good supply of bottles. WiFi reaches almost all the outdoor areas, but not inside the houses. The pool is thoughtfully placed within easy reach wherever you stay. Inside, the apartments are comfortable and stylish, with air conditioning. Mine had a large, comfortable double bed in a spacious room, plus an extra single bed. There's a stylish bathroom with a modern shower, a large green glass sink, and a bidet, as well as a small, basic kitchen with a table. I prefer eating outside. The gardens are lovely, with winding paths between single-storey terraced houses, mostly in rows of four or six. There are old features everywhere, from millstones to surprising garden stairways with old tiled walls and fossils in the building blocks. The shutters are typical of Southern Italy.

The natural scenery is incredible, and Makari is a beautiful town surrounded by inviting blue water. That setting is the standout. The rooms are well equipped, and the staff were friendly and helpful enough. The bedding and furniture weren't the most comfortable, but the roomy apartment-style units made up for it. WiFi is only available in certain areas; I didn't find that much of a problem since it got me out enjoying what the area has to offer. I'd stay again and recommend it to friends and family, with the caveat that this isn't a 5 star resort in mexico with all-inlusive options. Cheers.

A really nice place to stay, and good for kids since cars are only allowed to drop off bags. The pool is good, though it doesn't have a shallow end.
