Il Casale San Vito

The quiet and the surrounding nature were what we enjoyed most. We had a great week at Casale and found the apartment comfortable and clean, with a large outdoor area, typical plants, and a big swimming pool overlooking the sea. It had all the facilities we needed, just as shown in the photos. A beautiful experience, and we’ll definitely come back.

The sea view is beautiful, and we liked it enough to book again for next year. Domenico was really helpful and quick to respond.

We booked 6 months ahead, then the reservation was cancelled one month before our holiday with “natural disaster” given as the reason. Afterward, we saw it listed on booking.com for 3 times the price. Shameless. From reading other hidden reviews, it seems we may have dodged a bullet.

The house itself made our six days in San Vito feel special. We spent most of our time reading, eating, and relaxing on the terrace, and only went out for an extended stretch one day to sail along the Zingaro Reserve. Even after a good boat trip, we were happy to get back, and looking back, we could easily have stayed home that day too. Casale was magical, with an incredible, almost surreal view, lovely gardens, and a beautifully restored old farmhouse. The photos don’t do it justice. The villa has a warm atmosphere, and everything practical was thought through: a well-stocked refrigerator, proper cooking utensils, big mugs for morning tea, power outlets where you need them, pleasant decor, and great showers and bath products. After six days, it was easily the best of the nearly 20 apartments and houses we’ve stayed in during our five trips to Europe. In a busy tourist town like San Vito Lo Capo, I’d wager there’s nothing even half as good. Domenico and his family made the stay so memorable. We can’t ask for more. Unforgettable place, don’t miss it! My recommendation :)
