The hill view is striking, and the property looks like the photos. The owner was really nice and came promptly for check-in, though you have to call ahead because she doesn't live there. There are useful things on site, including a good A/C, fridge, nice pool, and a vending machine for cold drinks, so you don't need to go into town for those. Getting around was the hard part for us on foot. The center is about 2 km away, with half the walk along a road without sidewalks or lights at night. Even reaching the beach in front meant going around for about 1.5 km. A car or scooter would make this a better fit. It seems more suited to families with kids in the larger rooms. We also found it odd that a kitchen sign said guests in the smaller rooms couldn't use it. Still, if you're on a budget and can't find somewhere nearer the beach, it's a decent option.

The pool came with wasps, flies, and mosquitoes, and I spent a day and a half in a sauna-like room because the A/C wasn't working and leaked water. I have photos and videos to show it, which Mrs. Rosa, who manages the property, asked me for. She was very kind before collecting the balance, but afterward she seemed quite grumpy and unprofessional. I can also show her voicemail. If you're thinking of staying here, I'd suggest inspecting the property carefully first and getting a good contract in place in case there's a dispute. Also, you have to breathe very quietly or you'll disturb the person in the next room. Have a great holiday!

We ended up leaving early, and this was the worst stay of my life. The area was dark, without lighting, and the beaches, supermarkets, and pharmacy were far away, so you'd need your own transport. On arrival, after a three-hour drive in 40°C heat, we weren't even offered water. Payment was demanded immediately. This is a vacation home, not a hotel or B&B. Cleanliness and hygiene were below zero. The pool was tiny and full of dead insects, bees, hornets, and hair, and seemed almost never disinfected. The place had bees, flies, ants, and wasps. The bed was extremely uncomfortable, there were dead insects, and the rooms weren't soundproof. For clean towels, they charged an extra €15. There was no room cleaning, just a broom and mop. There was no breakfast, only a few miserable vending machines that didn't even give change. The staff's friendliness felt fake. No bidet either, which was a bit of a hassle.

Ms. Patrizia was very kind and shared suggestions for partner restaurants and attractions. The shared kitchen was handy, with a range of tableware, and the pool stays open at night too. It's a welcoming base for exploring the area's sights, and if I come back, I'd definitely stay at Villa Benny again. It felt perfect for me.

We had a relaxing few days here. The villa is in a quiet spot but still convenient for getting to the seafront, and it has everything you need. The rooms were bright and clean, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the staff were wonderfully hospitable.
