Villa Faro B&B

The water is crystal clear, the sand is white, and the view is incredible. It’s a really good beach, though the public section is small and crowded with umbrellas. You have to rent one if you want to use it.

The location is hard to beat: Villa Faro sits right on the San Vito lo Capo promenade, and our window looked out over the sea. The beach is about a three minute walk at an easy pace, with two tucked away outdoor showers beside the villa for rinsing off afterward. Max was a kind, attentive host who always tried to find “a solution” for anything that came up. He knows the area well and gave us excellent restaurant tips. Breakfast was delicious each morning, and we could ask for things the day before. We had a great time and wholeheartedly recommend Max and Villa Faro. Our room was a good size, with a roomy en-suite bathroom, toilet, and a shower that was large enough. There was a built-in safe and a small fridge. The mattresses weren’t especially comfortable, though we still slept quite well. The TV was more like a computer monitor, but we didn’t use it anyway. Parking nearby is scarce, so on Max’s recommendation we used a friend’s secure lot. It cost €30 for three nights, was under video surveillance, and had a shaded spot, which not every parking place offers. Max is also very conscious about energy use: there’s a key switch to cut the room’s power, including the air conditioning, while you’re out. One outlet stays on, so our cooler could keep running.
