Villaggio Cala Mancina

There was a seawater pool, which was a lovely extra, and the hotel exceeded our expectations. We liked everything about our stay. The hotel sits in a beautiful location with well-kept grounds and a great beach nearby. Our room was spacious and clean, with a very comfortable bed and everything we needed. It was cleaned daily, and the staff were friendly. Special thanks to Hector, such a nice and friendly guy.

A good place for families, with kids made very welcome. The staff were really friendly, and the bartender even made an effort to learn some English for us. The pool team were lovely with our toddler, and the cleaner was helpful and very nice. There were plenty of clean towels, though the apartment floors and the area around the pool were quite dirty. My son's feet kept turning black. Still, it's good value, a short walk from town, and otherwise a great place to stay. We couldn't understand why the pool closed for two hours in the middle of the day, from 1pm till 3pm, when that's when people most want to use it. Even in a self-catering place, we'd expect basics like washing-up soap.

The houses were very clean when we arrived, and the air conditioning was a real help in the hot summer weather. At reception they told us the pool hours, and we were welcomed by a fantastic entertainment team. Chiara, Mary, Roberta, Giulio, and Ylenia were always ready to answer questions and include us in the daily activities. We got to know them and became friends by the end. There was aqua gym, baby dance, group dances, darts and ping-pong tournaments, plus fun games at the evening events. They did a fantastic job at everything, and I wish them all the best. The view and location couldn't have been better, and all the staff made us feel welcome. The villagio was well kept, with staff always around making sure everything was as it should be. After almost three years living on Sicily's east coast, we happened upon San Vito lo Capo while exploring the west. We booked one night, had the best sleep we'd had in Sicily in three years, and immediately extended our stay to three nights. Ettore at reception let us keep the same room we'd originally booked. This is by far the best resort I've ever stayed at, and I'm thankful to the owners and staff.
