Villa delle Agavi Gallipoli

We spend two weeks at Villa delle Agavi nearly every year, and it always feels like home. Davide is welcoming and quick to help with requests or anything we need. The countryside setting is peaceful, with supermarkets nearby for people like us who enjoy cooking and using the outdoor spaces, plus restaurants and bars close by. It’s easy to reach the main destinations around Salento, too. We’d recommend it to anyone who loves and respects Puglia and nature.

Gallipoli is only a few minutes away, though the villa itself is quiet and tucked away. There’s a big private garden, and the furnished porch is a lovely place to relax and take in the view. Highly recommended.

My children felt right at home here. The house has a little living room and kitchen, two small bedrooms, a roomy bathroom with a shower, and a storage room with a washing machine. Outside is especially nice, with two sheltered seating spots, an outdoor shower, a pretty garden, and a pizza oven. The rooftop terrace must be lovely in the milder seasons, but in summer it was too hot up there, even morning and evening. Tenuta d.a. is a charming small country house on a hill with wonderful sea views, midway between Sannicola and Tennuta by the sea. There are two restaurants within walking distance. One tip: Pizzeria Trattoria Lucio Notera is very popular.
