The breakfast was genuinely good, but the rest of the stay was very unpleasant. I booked through Expedia, and the man at reception got angry with me about it. He also charged for our baby, who slept in our bed because there wasn’t space in the room for a crib. The double bed was two single mattresses pushed together with a gap between them, and the mattress felt ancient. It was impossible to sleep, especially after they’d said the baby could sleep with us. I complained, but was angrily told the room choice had been mine. I hadn’t thought to check the mattress beforehand. The hotel is right on a busy main road, so there was a lot of traffic noise too.

The rooms are something else, and I haven’t found a more original, chic hotel in Sanremo. Breakfast was the best I’ve had in Italy.

Don’t skip breakfast, it was awesome and made with really fresh ingredients. The staff were very kind, and the renovated neotrad room felt cozy, with classic Italian features. Each room has its own theme and name.

I was there for one business night and would happily stay again if I’m back in the area. The room was huge, spotless, and had a high ceiling, with a nice view of the street below. My colleague had a private terrace with a parasol and seating. Reception and breakfast staff were welcoming and ready to help. There was a wide food selection, and drinks were served at the table. Good value for money.

It’s just a short walk from the train station, and easy to get into town and down to the waterfront. The room was clean and comfortable, with great air conditioning. Staff were kind and accommodating. I lost an earring, and the man at the front desk hurried upstairs and found it within minutes. I’ll definitely stay here when I come back to Sanremo.
