Hotel Alexander & Spa

The location is just about perfect, and the paid parking they provide was worth every cent. It's a charming place with character and a lovely garden. The rooms are very clean, though dated and in need of some updating. Breakfast has a limited selection and isn't great, but it's not completely pointless either. I'd recommend it, and give it five stars.

My room was beautiful, and the staff were friendly and helpful. They even brought a welcome glass of wine to my room. Breakfast was a typical Italian buffet with lots of cake, though scrambled eggs were available too. This classic hotel may date from the late 19th century, when Sanremo was seeing a boom in new buildings and aristocrats, kings, and tsars came to town. It's close to both the railway station and the city centre.

We came back to Hotel Alexander after twenty years, and still love it. Our lives have changed a lot, but the hotel hasn't changed much. Hopefully we'll be back again a lot sooner. It's a gorgeous boutique hotel in central Sanremo, with spacious, spotless rooms, high ceilings, and big windows. The staff were so friendly, breakfast had a huge and delicious selection served at tables outside, and the free bikes made the public beaches easy to reach. Parking was not far away, and the staff made putting the car away for the night simple.

We only stayed one night on a very short trip to San Remo, and my daughters called the hotel pretty, comfortable, and really nice. Our room worked perfectly for the four of us and was clean and comfortable. It's conveniently close to the beach and downtown. The staff were warm and clearly cared about service. They had a breakfast table ready, offered fresh coffee while we waited, and someone personally walked me to the parking garage. Even in the rain, they worked as a team to make sure everyone could have a nice breakfast outside.
