Hotel Sole Mare

Nice views, and a great location with the beach and lots of restaurants within walking distance.

The stay was acceptable and fairly modest, with a comfortable bed, a decent shower, and a room that was very clean each day. The patio was pleasant, but nothing like the online photos. The view was great, especially when the sun appeared on our second morning. It would have been even better if the weather had been sunny throughout, though that's not the hotel's fault. My friend and I were hot at night because there was no air conditioner remote. The hotel is a little unusual, set inside a building that isn't exclusively a hotel. You go up to the fourth floor to reach it, then down a staircase and through a door to our room beneath reception. It seemed bizarre at first, but we got used to it. Staff were friendly and accommodating, and I have no complaints about them. Breakfast was hit or miss: the eggs were surprisingly good, the muffins were the only decent pastries, the coffee was average, and there were only two juices, pineapple and red orange. The part that annoyed me most was the parking. Several weeks before arrival, I emailed to say we had a car and needed a space, but never got a reply. At check-in, the receptionist said there was no parking available, so we had to pay daily at a lot down the street. All in all, it was fine, and I might stay again if I had no other accommodation option. I would recommend it to someone looking for a cheap escape with a view. I paid $183 USD for two nights for two people. Not bad, I suppose, with a view of the Med on the Italian Riviera and breakfast included, even if it was mediocre.

We could walk everywhere from this centrally located hotel, and the beach is just down the street. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Our room was well appointed, with a great ocean view from the balcony.

A clean, solid three star hotel in a good location. Taxi drivers know it, so getting there from the train station is easy and costs between 10 and 13 Euros. The staff were great and very helpful. The rooms are just about big enough for two, properly cleaned, with nice beds and a good shower. There’s a lift to each floor, so getting luggage in and out is no problem. This works well if you're passing through or staying for about two nights. I haven't tried breakfast, so can't comment on it. I'd stay here again.
