The view from the room is beautiful, and for what you pay, the hotel is more than good value. Parking is limited and can be tricky. The beds are very small and uncomfortable, typical for Italy ;)

A lovely spot to relax by the pool with an Italian spritz. The staff are adorable, the rooms are clean and cozy, and breakfast has lots of options and is good. The hotel is perfectly placed in a quiet area, still close to both the center and the beach. An excellent choice in San Remo.

The room was a disaster, without even a socket to charge our phones. The receptionist was very rude. He told us we didn’t have to use the room and that he wouldn’t give our money back. Five minutes after us, another customer arrived with the same story. What chaos. We had paid for a room with parking, but on arrival they said there wasn’t a free space and directed us to a lot 500 m away, or more than 1 km by the one-way roads. That added 30 euros to the stay. They make false announcements on booking.com. I’d avoid this hotel.

The sizeable balcony was lovely, and the pool was just right for a post-lunch pennichella. We were so pleased to find this hotel. It’s only a short walk from the town center and seafront, and after wandering around Ventimiglia Market in 31 degree sunshine, the air conditioning was bliss. The beds were comfortable too. Staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful, and there were fantastic breakfast options.

We stayed for one night during a longer drive, looking for affordable accommodation in a good spot to explore from. Hotel Principe was great value, with friendly staff, a great breakfast, free parking, and an easy short walk into town. The rooms are a bit dated, as some other reviews complain, but the price reflects that. I highly recommend it.
