Villa La Brise

The electricity kept cutting out, far more times than I can remember. It went off for hours overnight, leaving us without light or AC, and we were basically suffocating. When we complained the next morning, staff said they'd fixed it, though apparently power hadn't come back in some rooms. Then at breakfast, a staff member described our problem to other guests as a “misunderstanding due to ethnicity.” Sure, and waiting almost two hours for dinner must be an “ethnicity problem” too. The hotel is in poor shape, with “vintage” used as the excuse. This was straight-up awful.

We stayed three nights at this small, very clean hotel, right by San remo's public beach. The rooms are compact but comfortable and have what you need. Breakfast was nice, especially the coffee, and snacks and dinner are available too. There's parking, a bus stop right outside for the city center, and the place is very family-friendly. The staff were friendly as well. The music playing all day got annoying, especially later on with kids, and the card payment wasn't working that day, so I'm taking off a star.

We had a really pleasant stay at Hotel la brise. The staff were kind, and the place was spotless, with an elegant but simple feel. We liked the old photos on the walls, and the off-season price was very good. We didn't try breakfast. Thanks for having us.

The hosts were very friendly, and breakfast was good. We had a pleasant room with a sea view and balcony; the bathroom was a little cramped, but it wasn't a real problem. Parking is free, and there are free bikes to borrow. San Remo is only 1.5 miles away and walkable, though we were advised not to walk there after dark.
