The two-room apartment worked well for three of us, with a double bedroom, two single sofa beds, an open kitchen, a small entry area, and a bathroom. It had the things we needed, including dishes, cleaning products, towels, and bed linen, though bringing your own is a good idea. There were also books, board games, and old VHS tapes. The villa is on the Sanremo hillside, away from the city bustle, and has three levels. From the ground-floor apartment you can use the garden, gazebo, loungers, and tiled area around the house. Two fir trees give useful shade, and there’s parking. The view looks across the hill to the sea. The bus stops right outside, or you can drive to the sea. Walking there is possible on a narrow road through the neighborhood, but the return climb is steep, so you’ll want to be reasonably fit. Bikes are another option. At night, you can hear frogs and toads. It was a peaceful, pleasant stay, and the owners were discreet and helpful.

The owners were kind and attentive, and the villa sits in a quiet spot on the hill, about 1.5 km from the sea. We had a lovely stay and I’d recommend it. Thanks to Mr. Antonio. If I come back to Sanremo, I know where I’ll stay.

We never got to stay here. We had to keep chasing the owner just to find out whether it was available and get a price, and then he put some pretty absurd restrictions on us. We were a group of 18-22 year olds hoping to celebrate New Year’s Eve. Apparently we were supposed to sit quietly in front of the TV and watch D'Urso’s countdown. I can do that at home.
