La Pergola

We stayed at La Pergola Hotel with my sister and had a lovely time overall. The staff were the highlight, always helpful and accommodating, and made us feel comfortable. Our spacious room and quite large bathroom were thoroughly cleaned every day. We were on the first floor, so the view wasn’t the best, though we did get a partial mountain view. Breakfast could be better: the selection was limited and the coffee wasn’t great, which surprised us given how good coffee usually is in Italy. The location is convenient, about a 20-minute walk into town, and the bus stop right outside makes getting around easy. We’d happily come back.

Room 206 was quite small, with a balcony and only two small drawers for clothes. Breakfast wasn’t great. It’s about a 15-minute walk to central Sorrento over uneven pavements, though the shuttle from 6pm to 11pm was very handy. The staff were pleasant, and the hotel was very good, clean, with a nice pool and sun terraces.

The hotel was clean and nice, and had everything I needed for the price. The people were very friendly and helpful. To walk downtown, take the narrow street in photo 1 by the hotel, then turn right at the street with the big wall in photo 2. It’s about 15 minutes to Sorrento downtown. We used the hotel shuttle at night, which was very convenient.

Vittoria made the stay feel personal with her warmth and care for every guest. Hotel La Pergola is a lovely, peaceful place to unwind, and its position makes a handy base for Sorrento and trips along the Amalfi Coast. The service is thoughtful, and the whole place has an easy, welcoming charm. 🥰
