Hotel Villa Franz

The staff were so kind, the breakfast was fantastic, and the view was wonderful. It's just a few steps from the beach, too. I had an amazing stay and would definitely come back.

The worst part was how poorly our booking was handled. We had reserved a standard room but were given an economy one instead, without any advance notice. When we asked for the room we'd booked, the owner said there were none available, even though Booking.com showed otherwise. She didn't offer another option, a refund or compensation for the price difference, just said that was the only room available. The room wasn't suitable for us at all. There was no air conditioning, and the old fan barely worked. We could hear everything in the stairwell and the next room because of the poor soundproofing, so we couldn't sleep properly. The bathroom was cramped and in bad shape: the shower head often jammed, the toilet didn't flush properly and made an annoying dripping sound, and the shower smelled musty. The way this was handled felt unprofessional and disrespectful to guests. I wouldn't recommend this hotel. I hope management takes reviews seriously and improves the service.

Nunzia and Pasquale made our weekend in Ischia a real treat. The rooms were welcoming and spotless, the service was impeccable, the owners were friendly, and the food was delicious. Breakfast had plenty of options, both sweet and savory. The hotel is in a convenient spot that still feels quiet and peaceful. I'd especially recommend it for families. We'll definitely be back!

The walk to this quiet part of Sant'Angelo near the fumaroles can look daunting at first, but after going once you get used to it. You can also take the electric mini-taxis. Carmen and the staff were very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast is served on the sea-view terrace, which is a real highlight, and there's a generous selection of fresh food. They were also very kind about providing lots of packaged gluten-free products. Chiara and Stefano
