There was a pleasant sea view from the terrace, and the room had air conditioning and a mini bar. The towels and bedding were changed every day, and the room was kept clean and tidy. No complaints about that. Breakfast, though, was really poor. There were no vegetables, the bread was plain white toast, and the croissants didn’t taste fresh. I had yogurt each day, and fortunately there was some fruit. At reception, Stefan, an intern, was friendly and genuinely nice. The other person there was rude and had an attitude. We didn’t feel they helped us with local information or recommendations.

We had a lovely experience, though the sunbeds and umbrella cost far too much. Hotel guests should get a better discount, or access for free.

The room could use a light curtain so we could let daylight in. Ours faced the street, and we had to keep the windows closed because people could see inside. Everything else was awesome. The location was amazing, and the staff were fantastic. We loved breakfast by the sea each morning, with an incredible view, great coffee and a huge range of food. Dinner was just as good: the grilled octopus was one of the best meals I’ve ever had, an easy 10/10. We spent most evenings relaxing by the lovely pool and ordering cocktails, with fantastic service. The bar’s drinks were strong but tasty, and the virgin mojito was the best we’ve ever had.

The staff were the highlight, really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was average, though, and the room was small and pretty dated. Noise was a big problem: you could hear everything from the neighbouring bathrooms, from a toilet flushing to someone taking a shower. Rooms on the same level as reception also get noise from the hallway and reception. I’m not sure the place deserves a four-star equivalent.
