Hotel Interski

The dining room was the weak spot for us. The coffee could be better, and there was always a queue for the one self-serve machine. The meals could use more imagination in both presentation and composition. Still, it was a very nice stay overall. The room was comfortable, and the bed was just right after a day on the hill. Service was very good, from the owner to bartender Sam, van driver Armando, and the people serving meals. The pool was great, and guests who got massages really enjoyed them.

Santa Cristina suited me better than Ortisei, it felt more quaint and less crowded. The hotel was also very reasonably priced for the area, and booking on its website is cheaper than using a third party, FYI. My room was immaculately clean, the pool view was stunning, and breakfast had plenty of variety and tasted great. The multilingual owner and staff were incredibly kind and helpful, and you can tell they love their work. I didn't get to try dinner or the beer from their own little brewery, so I'll have to come back. I'd recommend this place in a heartbeat.

The hotel is just a short walk from groceries, restaurants and shops, and a very short drive from two gondolas. We also had a bus ticket with our stay, plus plenty of parking outdoors or in the covered garage. After skiing, we loved the hot tub and indoor/outdoor infinity pool. There's a sauna too, though we didn't get to use it. Each morning a shuttle took us to the slopes, with pickup available from 3:30 in the afternoon, and there was a great basement area for ski gear. Meals were super convenient, with lots of choices, plenty of good food and a fabulous wine list. We ate there every night. Lucas and the staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable, with amazing mountain views, and the hotel itself is beautiful. Friends had recommended Hotel Interski, so we stayed for a week in early February and loved it. The skiing was some of the best we've ever experienced, and we hope to return.

The location is close to town, though you need a car since it's downhill to get there and hard to make the return uphill. We really enjoyed our stay. The staff were all friendly, the rooms cozy, and the mountain views amazing. The spa was a real treat, with a heated pool overlooking the mountains, a jacuzzi in the snow, and a sauna with a view. The relaxed atmosphere was lovely. We did miss having more room amenities after our luggage was lost. There was only one body soap, with no shampoo, conditioner or small extras.
