For €180 a night in late April, the four-star rating feels like a bad joke. The pictures look heavily AI-enhanced and don’t reflect reality. The rooms are bare and poorly equipped, with no chair and too few power outlets. To charge a phone, you have to unplug the lamp or even the fridge. There’s a noticeable mold smell, poor acoustics so you hear everything from other rooms, and maintenance and cleanliness fall below any reasonable standard. The place may have had its moment years ago, but that time has clearly passed. The beach is average at best, especially after seeing half the island. The hotel is surrounded by other hotels, with no local character or real sense of Italy, just a generic resort strip. The one positive was our breakfast on the terrace, which was very nice. We were only there for two nights.

We loved the peaceful setting, the lovely gardens, and the freshly renovated deluxe sea-view room. The beach is beautiful and right below the terrace. Breakfast was good, the staff were friendly and welcoming, and there’s private parking. One small downside: we arrived around 18:00 and still had to wait briefly for our room, while checkout is already at 10:00.

I had a wonderful week here and felt like a princess. The rooms are comfortable and cute, children are welcome, and there’s privacy too. It’s great for a big family, and also suited me when I wanted to meditate and relax. The beach is right next to the hotel, just fantastic. Best cappuccino is from Manu. Antonello, Mirco, Geampiero, and the other colleagues, you are all beautiful, kind, and gentle. I’ll remember you for life. I’ll tell my friends and Sardegna Travel agency, with compliments and love from Prague. One useful thing: Forte Village is the name of the bus station. Bus 129 can take you easily to Chia Beach in the south, or to Pula, Nora, and Cagliari. In Cagliari, there’s Molentargio national parc with flamengoes. I went to the STING concert at Forte Arena, about a 15-minute walk away. I’m grateful and send love to everyone reading this. Take care, and notice the photo with the angel sky. We’re all under God’s protection. Sardegna is a miracle for me.
