L'Arena B&B

Breakfast was excellent, served at a wonderful café near the B&B. The location was ideal for our water polo tournament at the Santa Maria Capua Vetere municipal swimming pool, with the hotel and amphitheater very close and shops nearby. Our room was spotless and had every comfort, and the shared room had a fridge and coffee maker. Everything was perfect.

From outside, down a dead-end alley in the town center, the place doesn't look like much. But once you walk through the front door, it's a completely different world. The interior is well kept and tastefully furnished, and the room was spacious and modern. The owners were friendly and welcoming without hovering. The beds were unfortunately firm. The shared breakfast room had a reasonable selection, though you can also use their arrangement with a nearby café and pastry shop for a legendary breakfast made with delicious, high-quality products. There were quite a few butterflies in the bathroom, but they were removed right away.

We had a wonderful stay, with a really warm welcome and an excellent breakfast from "Pasticceria Napoletana di Guida Giuseppe," just down the road. The chocolate croissant was delicious. The suite's double bed was a little hard, but otherwise it was a lovely place.

Breakfast is at a nearby Neapolitan pastry shop, and my room had plenty of space, with four beds. I was in the area for a wedding in Sant'Angelo in Formis and was pleasantly surprised by this B&B. It has just two rooms, but mine was huge. A great place to stay in Santa Maria Capua Vetere if you need somewhere in the area.
