Villa Romana Relax Suites

The location worked really well between Sorrento and Pompeii, and even though it's in the city center, the gardens and greenery made it feel peaceful. Our room was spacious, clean, and looked out over the garden. Staying there turned out to be a lovely surprise. I highly recommend it.

I felt right at home in the little apartment and would happily return. It's simply furnished but comfortable, tucked away behind an automatic gate. The owners are very friendly and helpful whenever you ask them. This is a small villa property, so don't expect German standards when you're in Naples. I can wholeheartedly recommend it.

The hotel itself is beautiful, but the area around it was a complete disappointment. Coming off the highway, the poverty was visible, and it didn't take long before the surroundings felt like a ghetto. The hotel entrance was down an easy-to-miss alley full of scattered trash and empty ruins. We felt unsafe outside the grounds and didn't want to stay another minute. I called the owner while we were there, but he thought the hotel was fine and said we could stay for 7 days anyway. He ignored our complaint, abruptly stopped speaking English, and the manager, who only spoke Italian, brushed us off, spoke rapidly in Italian, and then refused to talk to me any longer. After a 15-hour drive, we turned around and went home. It's very disappointing that nobody treated us properly or tried to find a solution together. The staff were unfriendly, and if you have a complaint, you're left on your own.

The grounds were clean and nicely kept, with lots of fruit trees, and we felt very comfortable there. We'll definitely stay again.
