Hotel Punta Barone

Angela made us feel welcome as soon as we arrived, sitting down with us to share great information about Salina and continuing to answer our questions throughout the stay. We even enjoyed chatting with her. From our windows and the terraces, we took so many lovely sunrise photos. Shops and restaurants are just steps away, and the port is a short 10-minute walk along the seaside promenade. Though close to everything, the hotel is just outside the busy part of town, so with the windows open we heard only the sea and birds. We had a wonderful four-night stay at Angela’s beautiful, well-located hotel. It’s a lovely base for relaxing and enjoying what the islands have to offer.

Angela looked after us with so much care that Hotel Punta Barone came to feel like a second home. I feel lucky to have found it, and I’ll be back. The hotel sits right by the sea, just two minutes from the nearest beach, while the main road with shops and restaurants is only 200m away. It’s a charming spot to spend a few days relaxing.

Angela welcomed us with coffee and fresh juices, then suggested things to do in Salina, including renting a scooter that could be delivered right to the hotel. The hotel is a real gem, overlooking the sea and Vulcano, Panarea and Stromboli. If visibility is clear, you can even see Stromboli’s volcano steaming and bursting at night. Our room was impeccably clean, and waking up to the sea and islands through the window felt dreamy. Breakfast was made fresh each morning, with home-baked cakes, croissants, bread and fruit. We’ll definitely return, and can’t recommend it enough!

The balcony of our gorgeous room looked across the sea to Paneria and Stromboli, and we loved the views. We stayed for four nights last May at Angela’s wonderful hotel in Santa Marina on Salina, which she runs with so much love and care. Breakfast was delicious, and the airy, cool breakfast room was a lovely place to start the day, chatting with Angela and swapping tips with other guests. It’s the sort of place you’d want to stay in forever.
