Hotel Residence Arcangelo

The rooms are beautiful and the view is stunning. The walk up is a bit of a climb, but I thought it was well worth it. Service was friendly and helpful.

Hotel Arcangelo felt like a remote oasis, though the village and waterfront were only a few minutes away on foot. We had several great meals there, and one day we took the local bus for a lovely island tour. The sea and mountain views from the decks, dining areas, and many rooms are stunning. Lemon and little orange trees grow all around the property. On rainy days, we watched the dramatic weather from the covered porch and its hammock. Breakfast was excellent, especially the fresh lemon marmalade made by the woman in charge, which alone would bring me back. Day trips to the other islands are easy from here, and the owner and staff were terrific.

Room number 4 is especially worth asking for, and the staff are very friendly. The hotel has a lovely mix of local character and comfort, just what I was looking for. It's a short walk uphill from the port, though the steps can be tricky with heavy luggage. Highly recommend.

We loved Arcangelo so much that our planned 3-night visit turned into 5 nights. The rooms were comfortable and private. The grounds are beautiful, and sitting by the pool in the evening to take in the view was a highlight.
