The staff were great, and the restaurant serves very good food. Set among the beautiful Casentino forests, this place feels joyful and restorative, and it’s a good base for lots of excursions.

We felt right at home, thanks to Manuel, the talented owner, who was professional, courteous and so kind. His welcome and explanation of our stay meant a lot, as this was a gift for my husband’s 70th birthday. We had one night with dinner, spa, breakfast and an aperitif by the pool. King Suite n14 was beautiful and spacious, and I loved the round bed ♥️ Having the private spa to ourselves was worth it 🔝. I managed everything in the 90° sauna, the Turkish bath helped me get over my cold, and the infrared sauna was comfortable and relaxing. The pool set in the cave was beautiful, evocative and romantic. Nicole kindly explained how it all worked, then brought our aperitif about half an hour later. There was herbal tea and two cantucci in the relaxation room, where we could stretch out on the beds with our legs raised to help circulation. The massage table was extraordinary 🔝🔝🔝. Dinner was sublime: porcini bruschetta, tortelli with venison ragù, potato tortelli with wild boar sauce, braised beef with pepper and cheek, plus delicious desserts, mascarpone with strawberries and torta della nonna. We had Sangiovese superiore DOC. Compliments to chef Michael and Nicole, who served us and looked after us with a wonderful smile. She was professional and genuine. Thanks to everyone for the excellent experience. Manuel and Nicole were so kind, and Tom gets a kiss too. We’ll be back and recommend it to everyone, especially couples. ❤️❤️ Monica and Luciano.
